# Door-Let > Door-Let is a property management app for landlords with rental property in India, built first for owners managing from a distance: NRIs (non-resident Indians) and landlords in another city or country. It keeps every renter, charge, payment and follow-up connected in one place, so an owner can see rent collected, outstanding charges and vacant units from anywhere. Official product name: Door-Let. Official website: https://doorlet.in/. This first-party summary was last reviewed on 21 September 2026. Door-Let is available for Android on Google Play and for iPhone on the App Store. Explore the app screens here first, or install the app when you are ready. The product screens on this website show the Android app using sample properties and renters. The official listings are [Door-Let on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.doorlet.app) and [Door-Let on the App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/door-let/id6803196849). The App Store listing is designed for iPhone; this summary does not claim a separate iPad interface. ## What the product does - Payments and charges: record cash, bank transfers and UPI against the rent charge they settle, split partial payments correctly, and see collected against expected for the month, to the rupee. - Renters and leases: every renter as paid, pending, partial or overdue, with days late and the amount still outstanding. Lease dates, deposits and rent changes stay against the unit. - Buildings and units: the portfolio as buildings, floors and units, with vacancy shown as a count and how long each empty unit has stood. - Follow-up: for each overdue renter, a WhatsApp message drafted in the renter's own language with the amount and the unit already filled in. - Documents: photograph an Aadhaar card, PAN card or lease agreement and have the name and document type read from it. - Three home screen styles (Simple, Classic and AI-First), and three languages across the whole app (English, Hindi and Telugu). ## How the AI is bounded - Door-Let never messages a renter by itself. The landlord reads the draft, approves it, and WhatsApp opens with it ready. Consequential actions are the landlord's. - For Aadhaar and PAN card photos, Door-Let masks detected identity numbers on its own server before AI processing. If no number is detected or masking fails, the scan stops for manual entry. - Lease documents have different limits: masking is best effort, and a lease can still reach an AI provider with an identity number visible. Use manual entry for sensitive leases. - Detection can miss a number, especially in an image containing several. Masked card images retain a partial number suffix and other printed personal details. See the security page for the limits. - Every AI call is logged with what it cost, and there is a monthly spend cap. When the cap is reached the AI paths stop and the manual ones carry on working. ## Pages - [Product](https://doorlet.in/product/): the four jobs it does, with current product screens and an interactive walkthrough. - [How it works](https://doorlet.in/how-it-works/): how rent due, payments, renter status and landlord-approved follow-up connect in one property record. - [For landlords](https://doorlet.in/for-landlords/): choose a path for remote management, rent tracking, or renters and leases. - [Remote and NRI owners](https://doorlet.in/for-landlords/remote-owners/): how the connected record helps an owner understand the monthly position away from the property. - [Rent tracking](https://doorlet.in/for-landlords/rent-tracking/): how full and partial payments remain attached to the charge, renter and unit they settle. - [Renters and leases](https://doorlet.in/for-landlords/renters-and-leases/): paid, pending, partial and overdue status, lease details, and landlord-reviewed follow-up. - [Security and privacy](https://doorlet.in/security/): the Aadhaar and PAN masking pipeline step by step, what happens when masking fails, and where the protection ends. - [About](https://doorlet.in/about/): why the product exists.
